what is the cost of a day pass for a non-member to use the beach & Lake?
MONDAY – FRIDAY:
Ages 18+ - $8
Ages 5-17 - $5
Ages 4 & under - No Charge
SATURDAY, SUNDAY & HOLIDAYS:
Ages 18+ - $10
Ages 5-17 - $7
Ages 4 & under - No Charge
This season, guests aged 17 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
when is the beach open?
The beach is open from 11AM until 8PM through Labor Day.
are dogs allowed on the beach?
Per Health Department regulations, dogs are not allowed on the beach when guests use it as a bathing beach. We offer doggie swim every Saturday from 8:30-1030, before the beach opens at 11:00. This is the only time dogs are allowed on the beach. The cost is $5 cash per dog paid at the gate.
IS THE LAKESIDE BAR & GRILL DOG FRIENDLY?
We are VERY dog friendly. We love our 4 legged guests. Dogs are not allowed to stay in the dinning room. They are allowed to walk through from the front door to the patio doors to enjoy the patio and the grassy backyard. We kindly ask dog owners clean up after their dog. The bartender has plastic bags to use for #2 collection.
do you rent boats?
We rent Kayaks for $15 an hour for non members and $12 an hour for members. No reservation is required.
We have one Pontoon Boat we rent to non-members for $50 per hour and to members for $25 per hour. There is a 2 hour minimum with dedicated rental blocks of 12-2, 2-4, 4-6 and 6-8. Reservations are not required but are recommended. Members can make a reservation up to 60 days in advance. Non-members can make a reservation up to 10 days in advance.
do you allow fishing on lake shannondale?
A benefit of membership is members may fish with a daily fishing pass at no charge to the member.
Non-members all allowed to fish Lake Shannondale but must purchase a daily fishing pass.

*** Lake Shannondale is a catch and release, privately owned, and stocked lake that does not require a WV fishing license.
can a non-member or a member with an unregistered boat put their own boat on lake shannondale?
For non-members and members with an unregistered boat, there is a $20 fee to put a non-motorized boat (kayak, canoe, jon boat) and $30 for a boat with an electric trolling motor on Lake Shannondale.

are there any residency requirements for being a member at the mountain lake club?
No, there are no residency requirements to have a membership with us. We welcome anyone to join. If you would like to join or want to look at the application, select the membership tab in the upper right corner of this web site.
are there fire works again this year to celebrate independence day ?
The Mountain Lake Club fireworks show will be Friday at sunset on the 4th of July.
